Fabrics, fabrics and more fabrics. We can't get enough of them. If we could turn sofas, lampshades or rugs into winter coats we would. Atypique makes coats and jackets to liven up your day-to-day or for special events. A party, an event, a night out with your friends, a dinner out, a wedding, a baptism? We have got you covered.
Using materials such as raw silk, linen, cotton, ikat fabrics from Uzbekistan and wool, we focus on quality and subtle originality, without ever going overboard.
No collections, small productions, no waste
Somewhere along the way, it was decided that fashion would work in short cycles. Love an item for a few months, then never look at it again. Six months to sell clothes or they have to be thrown away before the next collection comes in. At Atypique we don’t like fashion - we like clothing instead. There is no time limit to good clothing and all Atypique people know that good fabrics, cuts and colours never go out of style.
No collections. No fixed release dates. Designs will be released whenever they are ready. By producing smaller quantities and restocking whenever necessary and possible, we produce in less wasteful way so you can consume in a more responsible way. Now it’s up to you to cherish your Atypique item for the years to come instead of the months to come.

All Atypique items are made in Portugal, close to Porto, a corner of the world where craftsmanship is still very important and should be kept alive at all costs. By producing in Europe and being close to the production process, we can make sure that safe working conditions are in place and that any Atypique piece will be made with an attention to quality, fit and detail.
Most of our pieces are lined with 100% cupro, an upscale lining fabric that breathes like cotton and feels like silk. No fast fashion and sweat-inducing materials to be found here - only the best.
